Crédit Agricole Foundation and Education First Foundation celebrate the 3rd and 4th batches of Ebhar Misr Annual Boot camp
Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development in collaboration with Education First Foundation celebrated the graduation of the third and fourth classes of the talented students of “Ebhar Misr” Program. The annual camp of Ebhar Misr
aims to foster and nurture young talents from the age of 14 to 18 in the fields of arts, science and technology as part of the Credit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development strategy to achieve sustainability and development through societal initiatives. It runs under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Education and in collaboration with the Education First Foundation, the program academic partner since 2018.
The graduation ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Assem Ragab Chairman of Crédit Agricole Egypt Bank and Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation board of trustees as well as Dr. Salma Al-Bakri, Chairperson of Education First Foundation Board of Trustees.
Ebhar Misr program academic institutions and organizations, namely the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Faculty of Fine Arts, Conservatoire Institute, Microsoft Egypt and El Hanager Center for Arts, also attended the ceremony.
It is worth mentioning that the number of graduates of the combined 2020/2021 batch included 24 talents which makes the total number of graduates for the program 68 talents to date: 17 in technology, 24 in science, 12 in drawing, 7 in singing, 6 in acting, and 2 in music
Mr. Assem Ragab stated that Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development pays special attention to youth by supporting the talented ones and helping them achieve their goals. The Foundation adopts comprehensive programs to foster young talents, in the belief that these youths are capable of changing Egypt’s future with their innovations. For this, we always emphasize that the program aims to develop the youth’s personal, leadership, and creative skills in addition to honing their specialized talents to unleash their creativity. The growing number of participants every year encourages us to work even harder to open wider horizons to more youth.”
Mr.Ragab also added, “To do so, we are kicking off a new initiative under the umbrella of Ebhar Misr program to provide a guided boost to students and prepare them for professional life”.
Mr.Jean-Pierre Trinelle , seized this opportunity to express his contentment to the graduation of the new students of Ebhar Misr Program, confirming the bank’s continuous support towards the community through the Foundation.
Mr.Trinelle also added, “At Crédit Agricole Group, we believe in the importance of the role of civil society and private sector in encouraging entrepreneurship and supporting education. This program is in line with our bank’s strategy which aims at creating a social impact in the communities in which we operate.”
It is worth mentioning that students were chosen based on a meticulous selection process after applying through Ebhar Misr electronic platform. At the end of the boot camp, art and science exhibition was held to showcase the work of the graduates, followed by a very impressive theatrical and musical performance.
